We put our warranty in writing and publish it publicly, because a warranty you can't read before you buy isn't worth much. Here's what's covered, what isn't, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Honest Water Co of Austin provides a lifetime warranty on the major components of our whole-home water treatment systems, for as long as the original purchaser owns the home in which the system was installed.
| Component | Coverage |
|---|---|
| Fiberglass mineral tanks | Lifetime |
| Honest Provalve control valve | Lifetime |
| Brine tank and internal components | Lifetime |
| Softening resin and filtration media | Covered against defect; see service life below |
| Installation workmanship | Covered on installations performed by our team |
| Reverse osmosis membranes & filters | Consumable — see below |
For as long as you own the home and the system remains installed and in normal residential use, we repair or replace covered components that fail due to a defect in materials or manufacturing — at no charge for the part.
Some parts of any water system are consumable by design. We'd rather be upfront about that than let “lifetime” imply nothing ever needs attention.
The lifetime warranty applies to the original purchaser at the installation address. If you're selling, contact us — in many cases we can arrange coverage for the new homeowner. Please reach out before closing so we can document it properly.
Call or text us. That's the whole process — there's no portal and no form.

It helps if you have your installation date and address handy, along with a description of what the system is doing — and a photo if there's something visible. We'll troubleshoot over the phone where we can, and schedule a visit where we can't.
We're able to warranty our systems this way because of what goes into them:
This page summarizes our standard residential warranty in plain language. The written warranty document provided with your installation governs in the event of any conflict, and terms may vary for commercial installations or systems installed by third parties. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction. Nothing here limits any rights you have under applicable law.
We'll test your water at your address — free, no obligation — and show you exactly what you're dealing with before anyone talks about equipment.
